Eric Miller Joins Stimson as Nonresident Fellow

The Stimson Center announced today the appointment of Eric Miller as a Nonresident Fellow with the Center’s Trade21 initiative.

“It’s a distinct privilege to welcome Eric to Stimson,” said Stimson President and CEO Brian Finlay. “Eric brings a tremendous depth of experience and knowledge on the challenges that cybersecurity poses to global trade and economic prosperity. His work as part of the Center’s Trade21 initiative will move to strengthen vulnerabilities in networks that power modern global trade and finance.”

Eric Miller is President of Rideau Potomac Strategy Group, a D.C.-based advisory group focused on assisting firms with navigating U.S., Canadian, and international government affairs, policy, and technology challenges. He previously served as Vice President of Policy, North America, and Cybersecurity at the Business Council of Canada, which represents the CEOs of 150 of Canada’s leading companies. He led the Council’s policy work with the United States, Latin America, supply chain issues, cybersecurity, innovation economics, and anti-corruption rules. Before joining the Council in 2013, Miller represented Industry Canada at the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C. He was responsible for advising senior Canadian officials on U.S. economic relations. Miller has advised 40 governments in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia-Pacific on trade and economic policies. He worked for eight years in the Integration and Trade Division of the Inter-American Development Bank and served as a USAID Chief of Party in Panama.
