Homeland Security
The Stimson Center's Homeland Security Program is dedicated to the development and dissemination of ideas that enhance security against terrorism, natural and man-made disasters, and other catastrophic incidents. The Program's approach reflects the growing recognition that security is evolving due to such forces as global terrorist networks, severe weather like Hurricane Katrina, or the threat of pandemic diseases. The Program focuses on building the capacity of society and government to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from these catastrophic incidents. Dr. Peter J. Roman, a Senior Associate at the Stimson Center, directs the Homeland Security Program.
The Homeland Security Program welcomes inquires, comments, and collaboration. For more information, please contact Ms. Costanza Galastri, Research Fellow at either cgalastri@stimson.org or 202-223-5956. READ MORE »
