Deciphering Japan’s security strategy

In December, Japanese government issued its first-ever National Security Strategy. It also announced a revised National Defense Program Guideline and Mid-Term Defense Program. With these critical documents released, Stimson’s Japan Program hosted a discussion examining Japan’s security strategy. Participants included Yuki Tatsumi, senior associate with Stimson’s Japan program, Dr. Ken Jimbo of Keio University and Dr. Satoru Mori of Hosei University.
